The 2024-2025 Korea-Canada Year of Cultural Exchanges kicked off with an opening ceremony titled “Connection,” celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and Canada.
Renowned Canadian violinist Timothy Chooi headlined the event, joined by the National Orchestra of Korea, a master pansori singer, and a Canadian soprano. This performance showcased the rich cultural ties between the two nations, blending musical traditions in a powerful display of friendship and collaboration.
